The idea is that you turn up at a fitting centre and go through the process and the right club will choose you, instead of you making a wrong decision. We were really impressed with the solid feedback and superb sound at impact. Like the other Vapor drivers, the volt Swoosh on the inside of the heel did not put me off as much as it used to on the Covert. The silver FlyBeams that go across the cavity help to visually fill in the space, but more importantly they strengthen the cavity to make it more stable. This is an all-around great performer that helped me produce some of my best drives of late on both the launch monitor and on the course.

Looking to buy the Nike Vapor Fly Driver

Writing the performance section for the Nike Vapor Fly driver has been a challenge for me. Overall I think Nike has down an excellent job with the Vapor driver range. As always it is key to visit a fitting centre to try out all the variations and see which model in which settings suits your game best. Can this be fixed by adjusting the head because I never used to do this? The Covert Cavity works in tandem with the Compression Channel behind the face that can now flex more to create more ball speed.

Fantastic distance as well as the forgiveness desired by low to high handicappers. The distance and accuracy is amazing!

One thing we found upon testing is that it is better to miss the strike slightly higher up on club-face rather than low down so perhaps tee it up slightly higher at address. After a few whacks I thought it was the most unforgiving, unhittable driver I'd ever hit. Even if you miss hit, it still keeps the ball in play. This is truly a great driver. We found that the exceptionally light crown of the club-head aided the increase in club-head speed and subsequently added distance. Huge forgiveness and an adjustable launch condition offering that is easy and effective. With the Flex set with the weight back I now hit a much higher draw with carry around yds.

Hi Matt, I would like to ask you that is it much better than the previous model, the Vapor Speed driver? Some may prefer to have seen a small swoosh on the centre of the crown as an alignment aid instead, as the all black look was very clean otherwise. Nike were one of the first to use a Compression Channel and then they got rid of it for the two Covert drivers, which seemed odd at the time. Once you get past the blue, the Vapor Fly driver is fairly traditional. Unique, Long and Affordable.
